Wild to Calm - Poster


Wild to Calm is a mindfulness and emotional regulation poster designed to help children practise calming techniques, breathing exercises, grounding, and emotional self-awareness in classrooms, homes, and ECD environments.

 

PURPOSE OF THIS RESOURCE

This resource supports emotional regulation, mindfulness, self-awareness, and calming routines by providing children with accessible techniques to manage overwhelming emotions, stress, anxiety, or overstimulation in healthy ways.

 

USING THIS RESOURCE AS LEARNING TOOL

  1. Display the Wild to Calm Poster in classrooms, reading corners, counselling spaces, bedrooms, or ECD centres.
  2. Use the poster alongside When I Slow Down E-Book during wellbeing, mindfulness, or SEL activities.
  3. Guide children through the breathing, grounding, or calming exercises shown on the poster.
  4. Encourage learners to practise the techniques during stressful, overwhelming, or emotionally difficult moments.
  5. Integrate the poster into classroom calming routines, transitions, quiet time, or emotional check-in activities.
